SAINT OF THE COMING WEEK
Saint Ciaran of Clonmacnoise (c.516-c.549)
He is said to have been born in Roscommon. He left home as a youth and walked to the monastery of St. Finian at Clonard in Co. Meath. He then went to the monastery of St. Enda in the Aran Islands. He travelled slowly eastwards, settling at length at Clonmacnoise on the River Shannon, south of Athlone. Here he established what was to become one of the greatest of Ireland’s monasteries, whose school attracted monks from all over the land but he seems not to have survived long to direct this foundation, dying at the age of 33.

We remember in prayer those who have died recently:
Niall Kelly
Gwen Doherty
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
SEASON OF CREATION 2024
As we pray the Our Father over the Season of Creation, let us ask forgiveness for our sins against Creation and the poor. Let us be reminded of our deep interconnectedness with all that exists and that at the centre of the Lord’s prayer we say: thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
